Café curtains or tiered curtains are the cute curtains many use to accent the windows in their kitchens. Café curtains drape across the top of the window and then have panels that fall down each side of the windows, similar to the way a haircut with bangs looks as it accents the face and a panel of curtains that are placed mid way over the window. Most café curtains are relatively inexpensive and can be found in most stores. Many come with prints that include classic food items or kitchen and farm scenes. window valances are the top piece of a window treatment which usually only hangs a few inches down from the top of the window. Window valances can be used to accent a window where you do not want to block the view with longer curtains or can be used with longer curtains to create a more elegant look about the room. Window valances can come in any theme or pattern and are usually stretched flat across the top or encouraged to be in the ruffled form.
